The Joy of English Stone

Isabella Worsley recounts her experience of working with Artorius Faber to create Country Life magazine's stand for this year's Chelsea Flower Show.  Read

Chelsea Flower Show 2025

An exciting week for us at Chelsea Flower Show.  We were delighted to be asked by Country Life magazine to provide all the bespoke stonework for their stand at this year's show, their first appearance there in 25 years!  Designed by Isabella Worsley the space was inspired by an Italian loggia with an English Country House flair.  Isabella personally selected the stones during a visit to our workshop in Somerset and collaborated on the form and detailing of each piece.

The fireplace, window surround, and large water trough were hand-carved in our Somerset workshop from Lansdown English Limestone. The two smaller troughs beneath the window were crafted from English Sandstone.  The flooring is sourced from our own quarry, while the hearth stone is a hard-fossiled Morley English Limestone.

For those visiting Chelsea Flower Show, we hope to see you at stand PW210.
