We were excited enough to be involved with creating a show garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show but now we can barely contain ourselves as the Viking Cruises Garden of Inspiration has been awarded Gold in the Artisan Garden category!
Designer Sarah Eberle was inspired by the work of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí and his very individual and distinctive style which is instantly recognisable. Emulating elements from Gaudi’s famous Parc Güell in Barcelona where his passion for natural forms is widely expressed in the architecture, Sarah used mosaic, stone and texture to create this Mediterranean-styled paradise.
Bath stone was the perfect choice for this garden as it matches the honey tones featured in the stonework of the Parc Güell and has been used here for the Copper fed water rill, stone nuggets, centre wall and paving. We sourced, cut, processed and finished all the stone from our base here in Somerset working with both Sarah and Belderbos Landscapes.
