ROTHENDALE RIVEN BRITISH SANDSTONE
Traditionally flags were in great demand for paving stones, gateposts, cattle stall divisions, cisterns and roofing. A large number of town centres are a testament to the durability of flagstones, mellowed by years of wear and withstanding the test of time and increasing amount and weight of traffic. This sandstone is particularly popular for garden paths, patios, terraces and driveways.
Light to dark beige in colour, Rothendale Riven is very hardwearing and will still look as good in years to come as the day it was laid.
Riven is a rough, natural and uneven finish, created when stones are skilfully cleft by hand along their thin bed layer. Available with fettered or square edges.

Everything is custom made from start to finish in our Somerset workshops. From sourcing block through to creating the finished product, we control the process every step of the way. Our work is predominantly made from British stone which we source specifically for each project using quarries across the UK, as well as our own quarry in Dorset.
